Description | Runcorn county constituency was created in 1949 from parts of the Bucklow, Knutsford and Eddisbury divisions. It comprised the civil parishes of Alvanley, Antrobus, Appleton, Aston, Daresbury, Dutton, Frodsham, Grappenhall, Great Budworth, Halton (to 1967), Hatton [near Runcorn], Helsby, Kingsley, Lymm, Manley, Moore, Norley, Norton (to 1967), Preston Brook, Runcorn, Stockton Heath, Stretton [near Runcorn], Sutton [near Runcorn], Walton, and Whitley. |
