Description	Stalybridge and Hyde division was created in 1918 out of the Hyde division of Cheshire and the former parliamentary borough of Stalybridge. It comprised the civil parishes of Dukinfield, Godley (to 1923), Hattersley (to 1936), Hollingworth (to 1936), Hyde, Longdendale (from 1936), Matley (to 1936), Mottram (to 1936), Newton [near Hyde] (to 1923), Stalybridge, and Tintwistle.
