DescriptionThe Bucklow division was created in 1945 from parts of the Altrincham and Knutsford divisions. It comprised the civil parishes of Agden [near Lymm], Ashley, Bollington [near Lymm], Bowdon, Carrington, Cheadle & Gatley, Dunham Massey, Hale [near Altrincham], High Legh, Lymm, Millington, Partington, Ringway, Rostherne, and Warburton., as well as the Wythenshawe ward of Manchester county borough (which until 1931 had formed the civil parishes of Baguley, Northenden and Northen Etchells).
In 1949 the Bucklow division was abolished, and incorporated into the constituencies of Cheadle, Knutsford, Runcorn, and Manchester Wythenshawe.
