Administrative History | The company of Weston and Westall Ltd was incorporated in 1894 to '..acquire and take over as a going concern ..the business carried on in London under the style of 'Weston and Westall' as salt merchants, distributors and dealers in white salt, rock salt, brine, oil, vinegar, chemicals and other commodities..'. The company was wholly owned by the Salt Union, and acted as the agency for the Union in London. In 1903 it acquired the business of R Burford and Sons, whose accounts are recorded separately from 1903 to 1926. |
