Description | By William Wilson, Norton Hill, Warrington, to ------, acknowledging receipt of theirs of the 13th respecting "a rather indefinite claim of Mr. Fletcher against Sir R. Brooke". He had been told that late Mr. Fletcher borrowed £130 from Thomas Brooke, esq., and Mr. Dodd as the Steward of the family, that Sir Richard was to receive certain rents until this was paid off, and that this affected one or two dwellings called Carters Tenements. No rent had been paid since 1818. He had heard that Mr. Fletcher claims a "Quarter" on the Dows. If it can be proved that any balance is due by Sir Richard to Mr. F. it will be immediately settled. He would like an accurate account of any claim sent to him. Paper. |
