DescriptionINQUISITION POST MORTEM (extract) of William Brereton, who died seised in demesne as of fee tail of a quarter of a moiety of the manor of MALPAS and a moiety of the other quarter of the said moiety, with the advowson of the fourth turn of the moiety of the church of Malpas, the second turn of the church of TYLSTON [Tilston] and the advowson of the chapel of HERTHULL [Harthill]; the said quarter and the moiety of the other quarter being held of the Lord King as Earl of Chester by one twentieth of a Barony, and being of the annual value of £40. There is a note to the effect that Sir John Dudley also had the advowson of the said churches. Paper.
