DescriptionLEASE (counterpart) for 3 lives by the Earl of Cholmondeley to John Hitchins of Hanley, yeoman --- a dwelling house in MALPAS in the holding of widow Murrey, which is intended to be taken down and rebuilt, a parcel of land called Cross Hill now in the occupation of John Davies and another parcel towards HAMPTON HEATH now in the holding and occupation of Joseph Vaughan, carpenter; for lives of the said John Hitchins, Jane his wife and Thomas Downes, son of Raphe Downes of Huxley, at an annual rent of £3-10-0 and a heriot of £1-1-0; the said Earl covenants to be at the charges of taking down the old house and erecting a new one.
