Hon. Viscount Cholmondeley of 10/-. The following deeds etc. relating to this close are recited:-
1563, 24. Dec. LEASE for 101 years by Robert Fulleshurste of Crewe, to Henry Wicksteed and Marion his wife, of a close in EDLASTON [Edleston] called the Ladiefield, now divided into 4.
1571, 22. Aug. WILL of Henry Wicksteed, by which he bequeathed 2 closes, parcel of the said Ladyfield, to Henry Wicksteed, party to these presents.
1572, 22. Oct. ASSIGNMENT by Marion Wicksteed to the said Henry Wicksteed, of her title to the said closes.
1574, 10. Apr. ASSIGNMENT by Henry Wicksteed, deceased, to Jasper Rutter of Wyche Malbanke, gentleman, of the said closes.
1602/3, 4. Feb. MARRIAGE SETTLEMENT of Henry Wicksteed the elder and Anne Prees, daughter of Lewis Prees of Wyche Malbanke, glover, by which the said Henry and Jasper assign the said closes to trustees.
