DescriptionAGREEMENT between Sir Roger de Chedle and Geoffrey son of William de Sutton, whereby the said Roger and his heirs will acquit the said Geoffrey and his heirs of certain service called plougthpeniis to the lord Earl (sic) of Halton for all the land which the said Geoffrey held in the township of CLYFTON [Clifton] on the day of the making of these presents, and the said Geoffrey and his heirs will pay the said Sir Roger and his heirs 6d. of silver at the feast of St. Martin in winter for this agreement and acquittance of plougthpenies. Witnesses: Sir Randle de Vernoun, Sir William de Brerton Kts., William Gerard, John de Legh, Richard de Aston, Richard Scot.
