DescriptionLETTER OF ATTORNEY by Sir Thomas Stanley Kt., Richard Bolde, Peter Doumvile, Oliver Legh, parson of the church of Davenham, Henry de Byrome and Robert More, to Hugh del Wode and Roger del Rowe, to receive seisin from Sir John Savage Kt. and John Savage esq., his son, of all the manors, messuages, lands, tenements, rents, reversions and services etc: which the said Sir John Savage and John Savage esq., have within the County of Chester on the day of the making of these presents. Given at Clifton, the Monday next before the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, 14 Henry VI. Seals: Red, 6; 1, crest of Stanley; 2, a bird; 3, frag; 4, a bird; 5, a lion rampant; 6, letter "t". Nos. 1 and 4-6 have twisted grass chaplets in position. Parchment.
