DescriptionARTICLES OF AGREEMENT between William Hyde of Frodsham, gentleman, on behalf of the Rt. Hon. Thomas Earl Rivers, and Phillipp Starkey of Marbury, gentleman, for a 3 year lease of the demesne lands belonging to OCKSAVAGE [Rock Savage?], viz. the 2 Millfields, the towne fields in 3 parts, the Hopyard and the Marsh Medows, with CLIFTON MARSH and Brownetts Marsh and the new gained ground within the whole marsh, with liberty to the lands called the waste, lying between the hopyard and the Park gates, for all cattle, swine and poultry; the lessor covenants to repair the buildings called the Ould Hall, and to add one bay of new building for a dairy house and lodging over it, the common stable, the new cow house, the Stoone Barne and the west end of the Great Barne, the Hawkes Mew and part of the swine house, the new orchard under the hawkes mew and convenient room for a kitchen garden to be taken out of the waste and stack yard; at an annual rent of £135.
