Description	he believes that, should the Duke leave the army, morale would deteriorate and the rebels gain a firm advantage. Shows concern for the low calibre and temporary status of the men who would be left, should several thousand, who would necessarily be the more experienced, permanent soldiers, go abroad. Postcript regarding the placing of Malpas under his command
