Description(1) Rt. Hon John, Lord Ashburnham, Baron of Ashburnham, co. Sussex, his wife Henrietta Maria (surviving d. and h. of William George Richard, Earl of Derby, dec.), Richard Wareing of St James, Westminster, esq., Bryan Fairfax jun., of St. Margaret's Westminster, esq., and Thomas Ashurst of Ashurst, co. Lanc., esq. (being Trustees named by Lord and Lady Ashburnham in their Marriage Settlement dated 22 Jul 1714), (2) Francis Brace of Furnivall's Inn, London, gentleman, Charles Barnard of London, gentleman, Morgan Mathew and James Markburney*, both of Westminster, gents., (3) Thomas Goldson of Arrowe, yeoman Cottage and tenement with apports. (2a) in Arrowe (Arwall). Consideration: £25. The premises were confirmed to trustees in (1) and Richard Brooke, esq., since dec. (by Henrietta Maria, the Countess Dowager of Anglesea) on trust to take the profits towards raising various sums mentioned in the Marriage Settlement 1714, A further deed of trust dated 30 Aug 1716 provided for the transfer of the trusteeship to (2) as soon as the sums required by the deed of 1714 had been raised. £6,000 remains outstanding, hence this sale.
