Administrative History | Thomas Greenall was the son of Richard Greenhalgh and his first wife Phebe. He was baptised in St Helens in Sep 1733. He married Mary daughter of John and Mary Turton. He was appointed manager of his mother-in-law's Parr Stocks brewery in St Helens in 1754, and set up his own brewery in St Helens in 1762. He acted as one of his mother-in-law's executors when she died in 1785 (her brewery was to be sold to Joseph Greenough of Parr, another son-in-law) |
