| Administrative History | ICI was formed by the merger, on 7 Dec 1926, of the British Dyestuffs Corporation, Brunner Mond and Company Limited, Nobel Industries Limited and the United Alkali Company Limited. The predominantly alkali manufacturing companies based in Lancashire, Cheshire and the Midlands (Brunner Mond and United Alkali) were combined to form the Alkali and General Chemicals Divisions of ICI, that merged to form Mond Division in 1964. Salt Union Limited was acquired by ICI in 1937. |
