Description | Indenture (inrolled in Chancery) between William Gamull of the city of Chester, esq., Andrew Kenrick of the same, esq., and Hugh Whishaw of the same, gentleman, of the one part, and Richard Cottingham of the said city, gentleman, John Gleg of Tranmore co. Chester, gentleman, and John Rose of West Derby co.Lanc., gentleman, of the other part. Reciting that a Commission of Bankruptcy, directed to the said William Gamull and others, had been awarded against Robert Leen of Woodchurch, cheesefactor, on 30 Dec. 1707, who then stood indebted to the said Richard Cottingham, John Gleg, John Rose and other creditors in £3000 and upwards. And that the Commissioners found that Robert Leen was seised of the manor of Woodchurch and premises in Woodchurch, Arrow and Upton, which are hereby assigned to the said Richard Cottingham etc. for the benefit of themselves and other creditors. |
