| Description | In 1803 the Congleton and Nantwich Circuit was formed, and Nantwich became a separate Circuit in 1808. Following the Methodist Union in 1932 the Congleton Circuit was known as Congleton No. 1 Circuit and later as Wagg Street Circuit. Queen Street Chapel (Ref. EMS 74) was transferred from Burslem Circuit in 1943. In 1969 Wagg Street Circuit united with Kinsey Street (former Primitive Methodist) Circuit to form the Congleton Methodist Circuit. The Biddulph section of the Circuit was at the same time transferred to Biddulph and Mow Cop Circuit. |
