| Description | These proceedings were taken under the Charitable Trusts (Recovering) Act 1891 as the result of non payment of £1 per annum rent charge (known as Sutton Chiefs) to Farnworth Grammar School by Michael Hughes esq. They include letters relating to the case (1907-1912), affidavits from E M Reid and H S Oppenheim and exhibits relating to their testimonies (labelled EMR and HSO respectively)
