| Administrative History | Great Neston and Parkgate Urban District Council was established in 1894. Previously it had been governed by a Local Board from 1867 until 1894. By the County of Chester Review Order, 1933, a new urban district was formed and was known as Neston Urban District Council. In 1974 it amalgamated with the borough of Ellesmere Port to form Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council. [See: LDE list for post 1974 records]. |
