| Administrative History | Widnes, Cheshire Medical personnel Patients. Crow Wood Hospital was completed in 1899 as the Widnes Isolation Hospital. After the establishment of the NHS in 1948 it was used at first for post-operative patients, and then in 1955 disabled children and children with learning disabilities. Subsequently it was used for adults with learning disabilities and geriatric patients' . It is now closed. |
