| Administrative History | Under the Merchant Shipping Acts, masters of ships registered in British ports had to submit official logbooks and crew agreements to the registrar on a regular basis. They record voyages undertaken, biographical details of crew and unusual events. This series is incomplete as samples from it have been retained in national institutions. Records for the port of Chester are held in the Flintshire Record Office. |
