The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Pulford, erected at expense of Hugh Lupus [Grosvenor, 1st] Duke of Westminster on site of old church; two pieces of land (20 perches) on east and west sides of churchyard conveyed by same for addition to churchyard, 17 Dec 1883. Witnesses: J. S. Howson, D.D., Dean of Chester; John L. Darby, M.A., Archdeacon of Chester; J. R. Williams, rector of Pulford; Richard Farmer, notary public, deputy registrar of the diocese
