Administrative History	Opened in 1847 as a chapel to Birkenhead Holy Trinity. In 1861 it became a parish church serving part of Birkenhead, and in 1974 and its area became part of the new parish of Birkenhead Priory. St. Anne’s closed in 1990, and after extensive alterations it re-opened the following year as Birkenhead Priory Christ the King.
