Administrative History	Christ Church opened in 1838 as a chapel to Wybunbury. In 1840 it became a parish church serving Basford, Chorlton [nr. Crewe] and Weston [nr. Crewe]. St. Mark's, Shavington, opened in 1884 as a chapel to Wybunbury, and in 1974 it became part of the parish of Weston by Crewe.
