DescriptionBetty Leah says her son Miles Leah was apprenticed to Thomas Nichols of Manchester, a weaver, for seven years in about 1784 but after two years absconded, but was apprehended and committed to the house of correction at Manchester where he remained for one monthe before returning to his apprenticeship. Then went to Journey work for himself. Betty Leah says she heard the indentures were burned.
