A letter from the Overseers of Over Alderley to the Overseers of Hurdsfield saying that they are ordered by the JP's to bind David Bailey, a poor child age 16 of Over Alderley to George Thorley a silk weaver of Hurdsfield. They shall be at the Bulls Head in Macclesfield on 11 August 1828 to allow the indenture etc. 2. A recommention of fitness of David Bailey to be apprentice to George Thorley being in mind their characters and the distance and means of communiction between Over Alderley and Hurdsfield. 3. Indenture of David Bailey to George Thorley of Hudsfield a silkweaver for until he is 21 years of age. |
