A letter from the Overseers of Over Alderley to the Overseers of Bollin Fee saying that they are ordered by the JP's to bind David Rhodes, a poor child age 11 of Over Alderley to George Hamilton a cotton weaver of Bollin Fee. They shall be at the Bulls Head in Macclesfield on 28 September 1828 to allow the indenture etc. 2. A recommention of fitness of David Bailey to be apprentice to George Hamilton being in mind their characters and the distance and means of communiction between Over Alderley and Bollin Fee 3. Indenture of David Bailey to George Hamilton of Bollin Fee a cotton weaver for until he is 21 years of age. [comment, reading between the lines it appears that David Rhodes has been a "problem child" to Over Alderley and this is a resolution of the problem] |
