Administrative History	An ancient chapelry in Prestbury parish. In 1880 it became a parish church serving Chelford, Old Withington and Snelson (formerly in Prestbury and Over Peover St. Lawrence parishes). The chapel of St. Peter's, Lower Withington, opened in 1891 as a chapel to Prestbury, but was transferred to Chelford parish in 1915.
