Administrative History	Christ Church opened in 1849 as a chapel to Bowdon. In 1852 it became a parish church serving Baguley, Timperley and part of Altrincham. For later records, see also Altrincham St. John and Baguley parishes. Christ Church was served by the chapel of Hale St. David (opened in 1914 and closed in 2002), and the school-mission of Timperley St. Andrew (opened in 1883 and closed in 1999).
