Administrative History	An ancient chapelry in Astbury parish, serving the township of Congleton, and officially a parish church serving part of the town from 1867. In 1998 the parish was united with Buglawton, Congleton St. Peter, Congleton St. Stephen and Mossley. For later records, see also Congleton St. James, Congleton St. Peter and Mossley parishes.
