Administrative History	Opened in 1870 as a chapel to Farnworth St. Luke. In 1875 it became a parish church, serving the Lancashire township of Ditton and parts of Halewood and Widnes (formerly in the parishes of Farnworth St. Luke, Halewood and Whiston). Transferred from Lancashire to Cheshire in 1974. The chapel of St. Thomas opened in 1979 at Stewards Lane.
