Administrative History | An ancient chapelry in Childwall parish. In 1828 it became a parish church serving the Lancashire townships of Hale and part of Speke. Transferred from Lancashire to Cheshire in 1974.
In 1978 the church was destroyed by fire. The registers and records were either destroyed or damaged to varying degrees. Those items which survived intact or could be repaired are listed below, along with later material. The church was rebuilt in the same style. The fourteenth century tower still stands. |
