Somerset, kt. of Bath, Sir Henry Henn of London, kt. and bt., Henry Jackson of London, gentleman, surviving feoffees of estate of Henry Smith of London, esq., deceased £6 annual rent, part of annual rents from 2 messuage in Stoughton, co. Leicester, and lands, formerly part of the manor of Stoughton, in Stoughton, Houghton, Evington, Bushby, formerly purchased from William Rolfe and Hugh Awdely, esq., for rent of £220, now in occ. of William Stampton, John Stampton, Thomas Hames, Robert Garland, Thomas Neale, William Mason, John Hames, and John Lewen. £6 to be for the use of the poor of St. John's parish, the churchwardens and overseers of St. John's and other parishes concerned to place in and remove tenants of the lands. Recites that Henry Smith conveyed his estates to charitable uses by deed, 26 Jan 1631/2, and that the feoffees have purchased premises as above with personal estate. Wit: Jo. Goodwyn, Will. Dyer
