Description | Notice: the Overseers of Warrington give notice to the Overseers of Warburton that Jane Warburton, the pauper named in the annexed documents has become chargeable to Warrington, and any legal objections to the grounds set forth in them must be made within twenty one days of this date or she wil be Removed to Warburton. Dated 30 January 1841. Removal Order: The Overseers of Warburton are required to convey Jane Warburton, Singlewoman, now an inhabitant of Warrington in Lancashire, and not legally settled there; to her lawful place of settlement, the Township of Warburton. The Removal is suspended because Jane Warburton is sick and unfit to be moved. The Examination of Sarah Warburton concerning the last legal place of settlement of her daughter; Jane Warburton. Sarah Warburton says she is about sixty years old and the widow of the late Richard Warburton who belonged to Warburton, and the mother of Jane Warburton who is now sick and not fit to be moved. She and her husband and family were removed by a Magistrates Order of Removal about the year 1815 from Warrington to Warburton, and there was no Appeal against the Order. She and her husband have frequently had relief from Warburton whilst living in the township during the last twenty years and she never knew her husband todo any act that would alter that settlement. Her daughter Jane was born in lawful wedlock and never did any act to gain a settlement for herself. |
