Description1 Francis Richard Price of Bryn y pys co. Flint, esq., 2 Rev. Andrew Knox of Birkenhead, clerk. Pews erected and to be erected during term, and pew rents owned by 1, reserving one pew to 1. Rent: £400 for first year, £450 for second year, £500 for each of remaining years. Life: 2. Recites Act for enlarging the church of St. Mary in Birkenhead 2-3 William IV c.lxxix 1832, by which 1 is sole owner of pews and pew rents, except for one pew reserved for the use of the minister, one pew for the churchwardens, 100 free seats in the body of the church and 100 free seats in the aisles and galleries for the use of the poor. 2 permitted to underlet. 2 covenants to pay £30 to the minister, to pay for bread and wine for communion, surplices for minister, books for minister and clerk, expenses of lighting and heating when necessary, salaries of clerk, sexton, organist, organ blower, pew openers, bell ringers, and all other expenses for divine service, to maintain church interior, to keep a book in the vestry recording letting of pews and payments of pew rents, any additional pews erected being let in the same manner. 1 covenants to repair roof timbers and maintain external walls, churchyard walls and gates, church bells, iron flue and other external things Wit: Chas.
