Administrative History | Administrative History Purchased from the Commissioner of H.M. Woods, Forests and Land Revenues, 1858. The subject of the 1858 conveyance was three pieces of land referred to in the correspondence as 'The Little Roodies'. The first piece of land comprised two acres, twenty eight perches, between the city walls and the Roodee, with the distance chair on its north, and the 'new' Grosvenor Rd. on its south. The second piece of land, one rood, seven perches, adjoined Grosvenor Rd. on its north, the third piece of land on the south, the city walls on the east, and the Little Roodee on the west. The third piece of land comprised one acre, two roods, eighteen perches with the city walls on its east, and the Little Roodee on its west |
