| Description | In order to hasten the completion of work on the new haven, a rate to be assessed on the whole City, and collected quarterly by the Stewards of the various Occupations, the Sheriffs acting as Treasurers; one member of the Assembly is to be chosen each week to oversee the work on the haven and to account for expenditure. The Assessors are appointed.
Jan. 16th The Mayor is to appoint certain persons to "gether the benevolence of the well-disposed at the churches and other places within the City," for the repair of the pavement outside the Northgate.
