| Description | A new survey to be made of the poor, in order to separate the "valiant idle" from the "needy impotent", and to ascertain the yield of the Poor Rate. Agreed that four years contribution shall be paid in a lump, in order to provide a house and stock for setting the poor to work. The surveyors are appointed. At the foot are copied the names of fifty three persons expressly assenting to the order. |
