DescriptionGeorge Clacot, merchant, to pay a fine of 40/- for refusing to be sworn as one of the Councilmen.
Election of Henry Hamnet, draper, John Williams and William Lester, mercers, as Councilmen, and of John Ridley as Sergeant of the Peace (the latter in place of Thomas Richardson, deceased, and paying £20).
(ZA/B/1/199). Auditors are appointed.
Mr. Saunderton, who complains that £30 is still owing to him for his work on the recently completed conduit, is lent £10 to be going on with while his claim is investigated.
The Treasurers to demand an answer from the Dean and Chapter, to the letter from the Privy Council to them, requesting them to contribute to the cost of flooring the new shambles.
Randle Dod, an old man, to be admitted paying £3.
