DescriptionRichard Calcot, who continues to refuse to take his oath as Councilman, to pay a further fine of £3. 6. 8, and another to be chosen in his place - John Milner, tailor, elected.

The Treasurers to collect the debts owing from persons to whom Mr. Worsley's bequest has been loaned. They are Gruff Dod and his sureties, David Lloid, draper, (for a sum received from Thomas Lyniall, merchant) Thomas Cowper, draper, and others.
The auditors to complete the accounts forthwith.
The offer of William Aldersay, merchant, to end his tenancy of the House of Correction, which he had for a period (unexpired) of seven years, is accepted; the petition of John Delahay, merchant, to take over, is deferred.
The constables to collect the money assessed for the purchase of powder and match, in accordance with instructions from the Lord Lieutenant, the Earl of Derby.
Motion is made to recover from two former sheriffs money paid to them in respect of a recognizance forfeited by one James Banester.
A proposal to tap more springs at Spittle Boughton to increase the flow of water in the conduit at the Cross has been made to the Mayor by a Mr. Trew. (ZA/B/1/200v). He requests the payment of £100 down and an annual salary so long as a satisfactory flow of water continues. The money will have to be contributed voluntarily (the Mayor setting an example), and Mr. Christopher Goodman" a furtherer of all kindes ..... of good accons" is appointed to find out how much people will give.
The Privy Council to be informed, that the City has received no answer from the Dean and Chapter concerning their contribution to the flooring of the shambles, (which is to be used as a government store house [for Irish affairs?]).
The Sergeant of the Peace, John Ridley, to receive 4d. from every stranger breaking the peace, and as the Mayor shall direct, from every freeman.
Thomas Burges, servant to Richard Howell, dyer, to be admitted on the recommendation of Lord Strange, paying £6. 13. 4. The Dyers have refused to accept him, but the Mayor undertakes to see that an agreement is reached.
Randle Dod, an old man, to be admitted paying £3 6 8.
(ZA/B/1/201). Peers Prees, plumber, to enter into bond to repay to the City before mid-summer next, either the weight of lead which he confesses to have misappropriated, or its value in money.
