DescriptionThe controversy between the Bakers and William Cotgreve, innholder [and, by implication, the Innholders] concerning the baking of bread by innholders, is decided in favour of the latter.
John Harvy to receive allowance for the money which he declares was expended by him as Mayor [1576], at the suit of Alexander Cotes, in encouraging the import of corn.
The auditors to complete their accounts forthwith.
William Snell, cook, servant to William Glaseor Esq., (ZA/B/1/202v) Richard Pecocke, merchant, and Robert Basnet, servant to the Mayor, to be admitted, paying respectively as an apprentice, £30 and 26/8.
Robert Jones to be admitted to the Company of Drapers, and to be free [? - admitted 1585-6, F.R.] - reference to Thomas Bunbury Esq., of Stanney.
Apprenticeship indentures to be enrolled.
The petitions of the Mere Merchants and of John Delahay, again deferred.
