DescriptionDec. 7th. A cargo of rye, recently imported from London by David Montforde, founder, to be a common bargain, and to be divided among the Occupations of the City.
Dec. 16th. Election of William Massy, merchant, as Alderman, in place of William Stiles, who died early that same morning.
In future, to avoid the inconvenience of inexperience persons being elected, choice of Aldermen is to be made only from among the Sheriff peers, with the exception of the Recorder.
