Description | John Tyrer to be given a grant, under the common seal of the City, permitting him to lay pipes, and to build a tower on Bridge Gate, for the supplying with water of such houses in the City as request it. Any damage caused by his trenching operations, is to be made good; he is to make his own terms with individual householders as to payments; he is to be free to alter the layout of his pipes as he thinks fit; he is to leave a passage over the Bridge Gate, and is to pay an annual rent of 5/- for the tower. (ZA/B/1/263). Robert Wall reminds the Assembly that his petition of a year ago for a fee farm of some buildings in Cow Lane, was then referred to a small committee; he asks that it may now be granted, but it is again deferred until the next Assembly. Appointment of John Peereson as bellman, in place of Henry Shevington, deceased. |
