DescriptionRichard Higginson, beerbrewer, appeared and was tendered the oaths and declaration mentioned in the Act for the well governing and regulating of corporations. He refused to subscribe the declaration; and therefore his election to the Common Council was declared void and he was fined £40.
Richard Byrd, John Poole and William Wilson, Aldermen and Justices of the Peace, and Owen Ellis and Thomas Billington, sheriff peers, were chosen auditors of the accounts of Henry Lloyd and Richard Wright, Aldermen, lately Treasurers. They were to audit the accounts within two weeks.
John Mottershead, vintner, elected Councilman in the stead of George Meacock, deceased. He took the oaths and subscribed the declaration.
