DescriptionSir Thomas Grosvenor, bart., elected Alderman in the stead of John Poole, deceased. He took the oaths and subscribed the declaration.
It was ordered that Colonel Robert Werden, esq., should have a fee-farm of the row before his house in Foregate street for the sum of £5.
Proposals from the Corporation of Wigan concerning pontage duty payable at Dee bridge in Chester were read. Their consideration was deferred until the return of the Recorder.
The petition of Benjamin Blease, apothecary, was read. He was to provide better security.
