Description | Information was given that several of the inhabitants had not paid the sums taxed upon them in the last assessment, so that the soldiers were unpaid. It was therefore ordered that the arrears should be forthwith collected by soldiers appointed for that service. It was ordered that the sum of £200 should be assessed and levied from the inhabitants for the maintenance of the garrison.
