TitleContempt of an Assembly Order

DescriptionBy a majority vote it was agreed that Robert Harvie, Alderman, should be fined 20 marks for contempt of an Assembly Order in carrying his goods away after they were distrained and impounded, and in speaking contemptuous words.
In future goods distrained for non-payment of the assessment for the poor should be sold within six days if the owner had not paid the money within that time.
