Description | Petition of John Lyneall, hallkeeper, stating that all merchants had stored their goods in his hall and he had received customs on them till the storehouse had been built. How few goods came to him and many were stored in cellars. He complained that Robert Anyon, councilman, did not declare goods or pay custom and so defrauded him and the leavelookers, and asked that an order be made against him. He set out how much hallage Anyon owed and on what goods. Note that the petition was to be considered at the next Assembly. |
