DescriptionDraft minutes ordering - that the Aldermen of each ward enquire of the inhabitants what arms they had or what they could procure; that whosoever had made a breach in the mud walls, now to be used for defence should make it up again, the rest of the walls and the watch being completed at public charge; that an assessment of about £30 should be made upon the inhabitants including those who had not yet returned to their habitations, with the names of the assessors appointed; that the remainder of the assessment made during the Infection should be collected; and that Captain William Wright should be captain of a foot company to be raised in the City and that he should choose his officers.
