Description | Petition of William Welsheman, baker, stating that his father, William Welsheman, for many years before his death, possessed a small cottage and garden, without the Northgate on the south side of a lane leading to the Gorsestacks, and paid the yearly rent to the City Treasurers. The house was burnt to the ground during the siege and having been rebuilt, was, by accident, again burnt. He asks to be continued tenant for a term of years as he is willing to build another house. |
